i got the car from a police impound and along with all the paper work was a copy of all the owners that the car was registered under. i guess they have to send out a notice to each one if no one wants to pick it up and then they could sell it. beleive me if you like or not, i know that im the 40th owner and im proud that i saved a civic that might have just been sent to the salvage yard. im not sure if my dad still has that list, but if he finds it, i'll scan it and post it.

I think those lists are names of all the registered owners of all the cars being auctioned off that day.

nope, cause it wasnt an auction, an i would have been on the list. it also had the smog records on the sheet. it was a gross poluter many times so i think thats why it was passed arround so much.

 

yeah, that would mean it had 3 owners per year for 15 years straight! ( or something like that... fuzzy math)
