Pictures of Black Car's...I'm finding it hard to capture good pics of mine...
my talon (pictured below) is the first black car i've owned. after having taken a few pictures of it in the sunlight i'm finding it hard to capture good pictures of the car. i'm not sure if its my camera...the settings in the camera...or just my inability to properly take pics with the lighting. i'm using an hp photosmart 935 (5.3mp) camera.
here are a few pictures...
just took a few more pics...

(in the sunlight (obviously))

(overcast sky)

compared to my white colt gt...which looks great in direct sunlight. (in my opinion)

I'm interested in other pictures that have been taken of black cars in direct sunlight to see how my camera and ability to take pictures compares.
Thanks for the input.

personally...i think they look fine. you should try doing night shots of a black car it sucks even more. but i wouldnt worry too much if i was you they look good. is that thing stock or what?
the talon has a few mods.
small 16g
tokico shocks/springs
2g exhaust manifold
2.5 downpipe
3.0 inch exhaust
97 gst wheels
type s bov
its slow...maybe 12.9's @ 103...nothing crazy.
the colt is faster...lighter...better...i just need something to daily drive and i have 1700 into the talon total. (making it a perfect beater)

Pics look decent, with a black car you're just going to have those reflections, so take advantage of them. When i had my black gs-r, i normally took pictures at night, or not in direct sunlight for the most part, here are some examples...

i have a hard time too...it keeps on showing some reflection...so i take night pics most of the time...
i guess its the reflections that i'm trying to avoid...or maybe just being able to capture the front bumper...and the lower areas of the car.
the pictures of your integra are nice...although they are very similar in effect and quality to the ones i've taken. seems like i've seen better pictures taken (like the s2000 thread currently at the top of this forum).

Got your attention? Good. You can kill off most of the "reflections" to get that deep, rich look by using a Circular Polarizer filter. Depending on what camera you are using you may or may not have the ability to use one or get a "filter adapter" that would let you.
Here's a few tips over at AccessPhoto on the sbuject of "Shooting a black car..." - hope it helps
Your pictures look fine.
In photoshop, mess with the brightness/contrast adjustment layers. Don't know what an adjustment layer is? Look up the help file.

the link was helpful...
i'm gonna clean the car again tomorrow and search for some different light.
i do need a better camera...preferably an SLR. my photosmart is decent...but with 5.3mp it definitely leaves something to be desired. plus a polarized lens would be perfect.
