How much did it cost you to build, if you don't mind me asking?

Didnt cost that much. it was a lot cheaper than buying an equivalent bike. I had the frame with a crank laying around at my house so that was free....

fork-200
rear disk brake-100
wheelset-80
pedals-20
chain-8
single speed conversion kit-20
chain tensioner-50
seat-25
grips-8
bars-40
stem-25
headset-20

All of this stuff was purchased either at....

http://www.nashbar.com
http://www.jensonusa.com
http://www.pricepoint.com
http://www.supergo.com

a frame can be bougt for anywhere from 50-a few thousand, all depends on what you want, and a crakset will run you about 100 bucks...if anyone wants any more info or help with building a bike id be more than glad to help, i might even build a custom bike for you if your serious. All in all the bike cost me around 600 give or take...But one could be built for anywhere from 300-over 1000, it all depends on what you want to use it for and what you want to spend

The reason i chose single speed was becasue the majority of the riding i do is in the city and having to mess with all those gears and **** gets to be a pain in the *** to me. having just the one speed is nice and you dont have to worry about drealieurs breaking and chains falling of and all that fun stuff...and its a hell of a lot cheaper
