Default Irratic Tach..... ?

Hey Guys,

i was driving the other day in my 91 hatch (ZC) and the tach started jumping all over the place.

i have heard of this happening before but i can't remember what causes this.

i want to say that the distributor is on its way out but i'm not too sure

if anyone knows about this please let me know.

it doesn't happen all the time just once in a while.
thanks
Sean

My tach did that for a while, and then the car died on me. Luckily I was just pulling into my driveway
