Default 99-00 OEM Civic Foglight question

I just installed foglights for my car...and i was wondering if i can make my fog lights independent. Basically, i can turn them on and off whenever i want it; as of right now it turns on when the headlights turn on. Is there any other way besides tapping with parking lights?

run them entirely on their own power source, dont tap into anything, except a 12v source and a ground. then just run the switch. you can have it on whenever the hell you want then

you could wire them to the power wire that lights up the parking lights or you can tap the power wire from the fogs into the stereo. i forgot how i did it but i got them to turn on and off whenever i want.

honestly i'd use one of those metal toothpick things that dentists use...its much easier than a jewler's tool, cause one plug took me like 10 mins to get out...maybe i just suck ..but thats my opinon

My kit cam with the relay and then I attached it to the battery for its own power sorce and grounded it. Simple, works whenever I hit the button
