Did anyone else catch something odd at the end of the World Challenge race?
Normally I don't post like this, but I couldn't help but wonder if anyone else caught this:
I believe it was Mr. Charles Espenlaub, who won the touring car race, during the post race interview threw up the "two in the pink, one in the stink" sign.

I thought it rather odd.
This was the mosport round, BTW.

Yep, that's the infamous "two in the coot, one in the boot" salute. I wonder if Mr. Espenlaub realized in his zealously charged moment of personal triumph, which resulted from winning his first TC race, that he may have inadvertently flashed the sign. Not everyone knows about this explicit finger arrangement, and maybe in his own mind he wanted to flash the hang loose sign- but of course in this he did not succeed. This is mere speculation on my part.

Heh, heh. Well, Charles and I are about the same vintage and I just learned by reading this thread what that 3 finger salute means
.
My guess is he thought is was just a cool "yo, wassup bro" thing.

that might make for a decent excuse if he got repremanded for it, especially if he really knew what he was doing.
for throwing up 'the shocker' as a victory salute. it's more appropriate if you come from behind to win, or win for the first time, in this case, and better yet if you resorted to some questionable tactics to take the lead. like, 'double **** you at once, + a little bit more.'

i could see him doing thats, the driver of a car i built is pretty good friends with him and at the st pete grand prix we were hanging out in his trailer and he had picked up two girls and was laying the pimp down on them. after i left the trailer i was like i just was hanging out with charles espenlaub and dident talk about cars the whole time and was hanging out with him while he was picking up 2 chicks? the moral of the story is he is someone to throw the shocker from what i know of him. Also iam sure after i left the trailer was rocking.
