No-start - how do you test a coil?
I've got a no-start on my GF's 92 teg. I spent about 10 minutes diagnosing it and I think the problem is in the coil. I always thought these cars had OBD0 but this one is OBD1. Just wondering if someone can point me to the correct procedure for testing the coil as there isn't really a spark.

If youve got a DMM/DVOM handy you can check the resistance w/in the coil.
Check resistance b/w the terminals where the 2 wires screw into the coil (think blk/yel and wht/blu). This is checking the primary winding resistance. If memory serves the resistance should be 0.63-0.77 Ohm
Check resistance b/w Positive term and secondary winding (coil wire coming out). Resistance should be 12.8-19.2 kohm.

Beware, though, as I have tested coils on cars that won't start, and they ohm fine. Replace the coil, and vroom, it cranks right up. Swapping for a known good part is really the best way.
