can you register and get a license and insurance after you get permit or do you have to wait til you get ur license?

Depends on your state, I would call the DMV. In North Carolina, you can register and get insurance with no license. In fact it is a requirement to have insurance whether you own a bike or not to get a permit. No kidding.

Yes you can register and get insurance with just a permit. Just know that rates will shoot up a lil since you dont have a license or more than a year of riding experience. Liability will prolly be your best bet until you get your M1.
