are you running the gsr intake manifold? if you are, then go with an OBD1 gsr ecu.
if you are running a skunk2 manifold, then go with a chipped P28
hope this helps bro

you can run a chipped p28 with the oem manifold if you want (or can find one cheaper). The p28 doesn't control secondary runners like the p72 does, but that only affects low rpm acceleration.

i have a p28 from a ls, but my friends had told me that by changing it to the gsr ecu i will gain more hp. i also have another question, i have a jdm dc5 6 speed type r trannie and i want to know what type of problems i might be running to, if i swap it on my stock gsr engine.

You will have a big problem! First, a DC5 K20 tranny doest fit on a B-Series block and second K-series trannys are made for a motor that spins the other way.

if the p28 is chipped with the correct fuel and ignition maps, then it will make every bit as much power as the p72. If you want 6 speed, you got the wrong motor.
