i have a 1994 Honda Civic HB and i got it from my dads friends son ... he has a 1999 honda accord or something and he got a new cd player for it so he switched the accords cd player into my civic before i bought it ... it recently just stopped working so i thought maybe the fuse blew ... that wasnt it so then i took out the cd player and checked his wiring, it was really badly done so i got a wiring guide to make sure i did it correctly and i redid it all (he had it right) and now it is organized but i plugged the cd player back in and it still isn't working so ... do i need a code to activate it (it isn't asking for one because the screen isn't even coming on) or has the radio just crapped out(possibly blown)
any help would be appreciated

 

Check the fuses, the radio acc. fuse is in the in car fuse box and the back up fuse is in the engine bay fuse box. [probably a 7.5A] 94

 

i checked them and they are both good , i even replaced the radio acc. fuse because i though maybe it was faulty

 

Well if you have acc. power on the yellow/red and constant power on the white/yellow and a ground on the black wire and the HU will not turn on, then there has to be a problem in the HU 94
