Default bought my first integra have a couple questions.

I just got a 95 gsr yesterday I'm going to the drags tonight and have a couple of questions. I just bought champion copper plus spark plugs; are these any good or should i get copper ngk's. To disable the secondary butterflies don't you just pull the hose on that diaphram attached to the im on the drivers side? You turn the distributor clockwise to advance the timing? Can you bypass the coolant through the tb or im without taking off the intake manifold? To take off the power steering and ac belts you just have to loosen one bolt for each of them right? Luanch at 4k while slipping the clutch and front tire pressure at 20. Thanks in advance Hopefully i can get mid 15's with a full tank DOH!
ps. Spraying simple green on your tires will help traction at the track(go kart racing trick) You can get simple green at any walmart in the car area.

I think Copper NGK's are the best, not positive.
Note sure about secondaries.
Yes, clockwise I think.
Yes, you can bypass it I think.
Yes for power steering, not sure about AC.
Launch around 3500-4000k, slip clutch.
Tire pressure might be a little low but I think that's more of a preference thing.

Sorry I couldn't be more definate.

Simple green helps??

thanks for the input. Yeah, we use simple green in go kart racing to freshen up the tires so we can get some more traction. We don't use it on new tires but we use it on older ones. I've seen a difference in qr mile times in my fwd eclipse, supra, and z28. Usually just a tenth or two. But hey its a damn cheap mod.

I would launch around 4500 RPM...and why are you trying to disable the secondary runners.

I've disabled the runners, timing, and coolant bypass at the same time on my moms 95 prelude si auto and gained 3 tenths. Tonight i'm gonna do them one at a time to see if it makes a difference. I'll try and report back tomarrow. The gap on gsr's is .044 right!

if you disable the secondary runners your not allowing as much air into the engine..less air=less power, why would you want to do this???????

yah dood, from the looks of it you might gain a couple tenths of a second, but youre not going to be left with a car to drive home when the engine blows...spend some time upgrading your parts...

leave the secondaries alone your car will be slower w/o them!! champion makes the worst plugs, don't bother taking the a/c belt off it really only sucks power when its on anyway, and btw don't spray anything on your tires (remember it's a street radial not a slick), and luanch around 4500 w/ a moderate amout of slip if you don't want the car to bog, good luck!!

Slip the clutch at 4500? Never tried that.. I've always been dropping at 2500 and its worked pretty well for me... Guess I'll have to try it. Dont mess with the Secondary! Shift at 8k and dont be afraid to ram the other car!! (If your drunk, I was being sarcastic about the ramming) Have fun!! By the way, nice name!
