I use the Alpinestars Spinner in solid black and I like it.

I don't have another jacket to compare to but it seems to be a pretty good street jacket. It has nice protectors and the ventilation is solid.

The one thing is I wish I would have gotten was a jacket with a zipper on the bottom so I can add it to pants for track use. I guess thats really a pro so I have to go out and buy a nice one-peice.

I have the A* TZ-1 jacket. Only complaint is the lack of venting. Theres only the little bit up near the chest, but even still, I rode several times in 90+ and humid days, and was perfectly comfortable as long as I was moving. The padding in the elbows is kinda stiff, but you get used to it and dont even notice it after the jacket starts breaking in.

Overall I really like the jacket. Its got a small zip in liner, and has the full zip around the bottom so it can be attached to pants. I personally like it alot.

I have two jackets, a Joe Rocket Alter Ego (textile) and an ICON pursuit jacket (leather).

The Alter Ego does it all, and has a cool police-state stormtrooper look to it. It comes in 3 stages of weather-proofness, and can be worn in all seasons, really.

The Pursuit is more for show and fun, and since it's leather, for more aggressive riding. It's fully perforated, so it will get retired in a month or so.

Depending on where you live, my approach might suit you. Having one leather jacket that does everything is pretty tough, so you might want to consider getting different jackets that do different things.

I have a Joe R textile Reactor that is vented but I don't much car for it; It works in summer. I like to be HOT (ie:95+ degrees windows up no A/C) so I'm thinking the TZ-1 sounds about right. I find the vented textile coat has me chilly even on 95 degree days.

i have a icon Neo Daytona. Awesome leather jacket. very streetable, even to hang out in, isnt too bulky. My hot day one is a Dainese summer riding textile jacket. I dont know the name, but its green. Ive also had a kawasaki mesh jacket for riding to work and throwing in a locker. It had really good pading. Its gone now, and im waiting for the fieldshier mesh jacket, cause my other ones are too nice to toss in a locker.

Im obsessed with jackets. I plan on owning like 10. NExt on the list is the icon superduty.

i have a Frank Thomas Strike jacket in silver, and a Dianese mesh jacket. The Frank thomas is comfortable, breaks in to a nice ply, and breathes really well. I ended up just wearing the leather all summer over the dianese mesh cause i stayed more cool. I just put a dianese back insert in my FT leather and it's a pretty decent jacket.

Ive got 3 right now, 2 joe rocket textiles, and a teknics textile.

1. suzuki GSXR joe rocket jacket that is VERY light and extremely well ventilated and perfect for summer, but not alot of armor in it so i don't use it when i do any crazy rides or squid rides....

2. joe rocket ballistic jacket, also preatty light , more armor than the gsxr jacket but ive got the lighter jacket for summer so i havn't used this one much at all.

3. teknics second skin jacket. very heavily armor'd, very insulated, 100% waterproof jacket, awesome in the rain, wayyyy to hot for anything in the summer months at all.

Ive had a teknics leather jacket and it was really nice, good and heavy, not alot of armor like the textiles but a good jacket, poorly ventilated but nice insulation for colder weather rides....

A* stunt for me in the winter and Joe Rocket Vented blaster 2.0 in the summer, both leather, I am considering a Dianese for a new non vented jacket though just because I am a leather *****. A* is my favorite so far.
