Default D16y7 swap in '89 crx hf..a few problems. help.

EDIT after searching ht, figured out that my cat was going bad. so i solved the smell problem, but still am confused about that hose.

hey htech,
i'm doing a d16y7 swap into my rex and am having trouble with a hose. i used the intake manifold, exhaust manifold, dizzy, etc from the hf and am running obd0 with a pm6 ecu. the hose i don't have hooked up yet is above the thermostat housing (diagonally to the left of it). it's a smaller hose that is connected to the intake manifold. it's almost exactly next to the fat hose that connects the thermostat housing to the intake manifold... i think oil is coming out of the hose...

also, i am getting a really weird smell coming from the engine. when we first started the car, the header/cat area smoked for a while. now, there is hardly any smoke but it smells. not quite oil, but not quite rubber. have never smelled this before. any ideas? maybe a bad cat?

can anyone help me out? thanks in advance.
