Default Bad blower motor????

on my crx ...the body has 210,000 miles and a couple months back the heat stoped working...then id slam a speed bump really knocking the car and it kicked back in...but finally its done and gone....the heat doesnt work...absolutely no air comes out when i put the heater dial to 4 ...sometimes a tiny air comes out just enough to heat up the vents....is this the blower motor??

Yes, it could be the blower motor or it could be the connecting plugs underneath the steering column.

I have a 90Si and it has the same problem. I'm guessing the blower motor too. Is this an easy fix, if not what am I looking to fork over on repairs? Thanks!

I replaced my blower motor myself. It was a bitch and probably would have been easier if i would have removed the dash to do it.

I wasn't getting any thing when I turned on the fan. So I took out my blower motor. Here is the hold one. It basically fell apart when I took it out.

If there's one area where Honda really dropped the ball in designing the ED/EF, it is in the area of fans. It is absolutely ABSURD that they designed the HVAC fan in such a way that the whole box has to come out, necessitating the discharge (and recharge) of the A/C system. And don't get me started on the radiator fans. Sticking those super high profile units on the radiator in such a way that bending (to the point of almost breaking) of the A/C lines is necessary is just pure stupidity. And sometimes even this doesn't work.

I just removed the whole dash. The whole job from start to finish was about 2 hours (of course ive taken the dash out so many times i can do it now with my eyes closed). Make your life easier, take the dash off...

There are clips that go around the whole box. I didn't even remove mine. The fan part is so flexible that it will go back in there without taking everything apart. you just have to be patient. Good luck with it though. It took me about 30 min without taking out the dash.

Yeah I wouldn't mind taking the whole dash apart. I just have never done it before. Any tips on doing this?

Yeah the plastic is flexible, that is how I got the blower motor out. I can feel the clips on the back side but haven't figured out how to get them off yet. I'll be working on it.

gosh... I have done the blower motor twice.... pain in the butt... the easiest way is to loosen the dash board so it can move enough for that white box to come out all the way and then pull the blower from that....

Default Well I got it out.

Broke some of the fence. Didn't have to loosen the dash because I didn't know how. lol. I couldn't get 3 clips on the backside unclipped from under it. I had to pull the top down enough to go over top of it and use a screw driver to unclip the last three.

Anyone know what this is?

Hope this pics help the next guy.

Also anything else I should replace while all this is out????

That piece is the fan speed controller..
It is a resistor,if broken the fan will only work
on position 4 or high...
