make sure you ran the rca's away from the power. Don't run them down the same side. Put a good ground on it and it should be metal to metal no longer than a ft. If that dosen't work turn the gains down on the amp. That's about all the trouble shooting I have on engine noise. Oh one more thing maybe you might have a bad rca get another one and hook it up to see if it is that.

My thoughts on the issue....make sure that your rca is away from anything that has power in it, even the remote, run your positive and remote wire down one side and your rca down the other and make sure your ground wire is less than a foot and your fuse is closer than 18 inches to your battery.

noise filters sometimes blocks out bass. The best way to do it is to run the rca's down the middle of the car and the power on one of the sides.

Why try to rig a fix for a problem? Why not fix it right.

You have a ground loop problem. Somewhere you have a bad ground either at the deck or the amp. A bad set of RCA's can also cause the problem. I run power and RCA's right next to each other, I have never had this problem. You would also have to have a huge!!!! current draw to induce any audible noice into the RCA's.
