Did you guys preload the suspension before torqueing the bolts down?

umm...used an unconventional way of removing the springs and installing the new one. didn't use a spring compressor, just put a jack beneath the trailing arm, i think it was the trailing arm, or lower control arm..undid the bolts, lowered the jack which relieves the pressure and took the spring off...put the H&R's on, and reversed the process...so i guess, no preloading of the suspension...?

well, before you torque all the bolts down to spec, you are supposed to jack up a corner of your suspension until the car lifts off the jack stands. Then torque all the bolts down. This way the bushings are not twisted.
