like the topic stated. I owned my lude for almost a year, but still couldn't figure it out exactly what does it mean. What are the differences? Thanks.

Its part of your vin number. It's the Chassis code. BB6 is not 4th gen prelude.

Hmm had it a year and still haven't read the FAQ which includes all this info?

I'm confused, I have 4th Gen, 94 , JDM, Vtec SI-H22A, but it says bb1.... on small chassis plate in engine bay. I have seen the EL digital cluster that are BB4 I think, and I have these, along with all other JDM spec features. Do I def have BB1, and what is the difference then between that and BB4 JDM.

everything i have is JDM and it was all fitted as stock.... climate control, electric folding mirrors, h22a, small tv screen fitted in dash, service history in japanese, import proof etc, so its def JDM, then why does chassis number start bb1...

I just found this....

http://www.preludecrazy.com/us...tup=1

As he says "My car was manufactured in December 1993, therefore it has the 1994 facelift features (ie. digital rev/speedo dials, different centre console, clear front indicators"

It is axactly the same as mine and is BB1, so I guess BB1 can be for JDM...?

I am looking to replace the digital speedo cluster, does this mean i search for a BB4 one?

honda does some weird things with their chassis designations sometimes.

i thought there was no VTEC lude with 4ws. at least not in the US. i guess if they had it in japan, they were bb1.
