now the question is k20 or h22? the h22 has more pft but the k20 is new and improved, what would be the ideal swap

h22a, f20b, or k20a......

of those, H22a is by far the easiest swap, and replacement parts are much easier find. none of those motors, however, make torque....and frankly a TSX K24 would be > then all of those

Most likely that would not be too hard of a swap and mounts could possibly be available from hasports so it is worth an email to them. If not then a shop could fab some up pretty easily.

TL is a V6. K24 is in the Accord, TSX, Element.

K24 has good torque but the head is restrictive. The thing to do nowadays is a K24 bottom end with a K20a top end, larger displacement, better flow. I'm contemplating between that, an RSX-S, or the new Si engine in my EG hatch.

Definitely with an accord though, go K24 or k20headk24block. The torque will thank you later.

No, I just don't have access to a K series (still too pricey, i'm waiting till more are available) so I spend all my time learning about them so I can grab it when the opportunity arises...

The new K's in the Si's are an improvement over the old ones (197hp vs 160hp), PLUS a 6 speed tranny with the same helical LSD found in the JDM DC5 R...which is what I want. With a 2100lb car with 10lbs per hp you want 6 speeds and an LSD....

Yea, word on teh street is it's a K20az3, but i'm just oozing over the 6speed and LSD.

It has 197hp and 137 ft lbs of torque, but with Hondata KPro, manifold heat shield, custom header and intake, i'll be seeing around 210hp and 143 ft lbs of torque, plenty to scoot that thing. And it can only go higher from there....

HA that would be nice, harder to do but it would be nice...

You could do the K swap into the teggy though, Hasport DOES make kits for THAT....

just a few things to add....

the TSX head DOES flow well...its no K20a-r, but it has MUCH better ports, and the ivtec works on both sidea of the motor instead of just one on the accord/element

the new Si motor in the US is the k20z3
