Default 2.5" 5zigen Fireball

Hi guys, I need a new exhaust. I need to know if they make a 2.5" 5zigen axle back or universal muffler. Also, I need a carsound catalytic converter. Please tell me where I can get these. Thanks. (This is going into a 94' GSR)

Hey, I have a 5-Zigen Fireball rear-section exhaust on my car (95 Teg LS). I picked it up a couple of months ago. The piping on it is either 2.25 or 2.5 I can't really remember. If you want the best deal check out http://www.groupbuycenter.com they have great deals, or you can check out the website wher I got mine, http://www.importparts.com I only payed $271.00 shipped because I had a coupon code that I got though groupbuycenter.com for extra money off. I hope I helped, if you have any other questions about the exhaust itself drop me an email at ryantmoran@aol.com

Thanks for the help guys. I gave the shops a call but none of them have them in 2.5" . I really like the look of the Fireball , and have made up my mind to get that one. I need the 2.5 or larger becuase it's going into my built 2liter GSR. Do you guys know if they even make a 2.5 version? Thanks in advance.

5zigen fireball piping is 60.5mm (2.38"). They DO NOT make a 2.5" ID cat-back, axle-back, or universal. They DO have a 3" universal fireball. Since you sound like you're having the piping custom made, you can mate the 3" universal fireball to 2.5" piping easily (the muffler shop doing your piping can do that). HTH.

Yep, I would recommend picking up the Muffler and just getting custom piping from your local muffler shop. We offer bolt-on Carsound Cats & 5Zigen's line. Feel free to drop us an email if you need some pricing.

you don't need anything larger than 2.25 for a 2.0 gsr motor. that is actually about right size... but don't worry, you won't have to listen to me for long. i'm about to be flamed to heck by everyone who thinks bigger exhaust piping is better. go ahead...

Is this true? If I don't have to go any larger than the 2.25", I'll just purchase the cat back.
Just to clarify, my motor is fully built: 84.5mm GE sleeves, Portflow head, JE 12:1 compression, DC JDM header, high flow cat, etc, etc. Thanks.

I've seen quite a few dyno charts showing that 2.5" piping all the way back made additional power in the mid and especially up top if you have big cams. Plus, you already have a 2.5" collector header and cat, why have a bottle-neck now? Yes, it's true you don't need 2.5" even for a 2L, but it does help.

BTW, what cams are you running and what power are you putting down (assuming you've dynoed it)? This is almost an identical setup to what I'm thinking about doing. Do you have a ported TB and match-ported IM also? Thanks.

Thanks for replying. I'll go ahead and get the custom 2.5" piping then, mated with a 3" Fireball muffler.
The cams I will be using will be the Skunk2 Stage 1's. And no, I don't have a ported throttle body, but I do have a Skunk2 IM.
As far as dynoing it, I haven't even gotten my car back yet from being built. I'll tell you as soon as everything's broken and dynoed. My car is scheduled to be ready next Saturday. Thanks.

Kakimoto R have a 70mm catback exhaust for Integra, which will bolt up to the GSR without any modification. This catback is 70mm OD, so the ID would be very very close to 2.5". The exhaust is fully stainless steel and even at the so called bottleneck, it still have 2.5"ID!!
