accord turbo questions
hey guys, i'm new to this site andi have been reading through some of the old posts. I see that some dsm botls up to our cars. I have a 95 ex accord and i would like to know if the manifold will bolt up, if not where could source one from? Also i have heard the injectors bolt up? its that true. i have used the search feature but haven't gotten direct answers to my questions. can some ppl help out with some answers? thanks
Sound like you did a little bit of searching
I think a better way to answer your question is by, how much money you are willing to spend? and what power/driveable level.
yes some of those item will bolt up but do you really want a ghetto rag turbo setup?

no, a dsm manifold will not work on your car. you have a f22b1 and the port placement is a different design and will not line up at all. the dsm turbo and manifold will only work on f22ax engines(90-93) where both share a similar port arrangement..even then new holes have to be drilled in the manifold for all the studs to line up. plenty of companys make turbo manifolds for 94-97 accords...
the injectors will work but i believe you must modify them slightly to fit in the manifold and rail..you will also need some type of controller to adjust the fuel tune..

it stands for diamond star motors. it was a joint venture between the chrysler motor co and mitsubishi where they started making cars together. im no expert but i believe it spanned from 89 or 90 to 97 or 98 whenever they stopped making 2nd gens...hence the plymouth laser, mistu eclipse, eagle talon all being the same cars with the same powerplants...like on 2g's the RS model eclipses' coming with chrysler motors (420a) and upper models coming with mitsu's 4g63....
well i have found turbo kits but i'm sorry i can't see myself spending 3g's and up for turbo kit. my car has about 160k on it. i want something inexpensive, maybe running around 2g's at most. Any ideas? I don't want a lot of hp just a lil boost to have some fun.

piece the kit together yourself

well, you could always swap on an f22ax head...you can keep your existing intake manifold and then run the dsm turbo setup...
you'll have to lose your vtec though..

thanks for answerinf my question about DSM...as far as gfoing with a used turbo, i wudnt trust it..u dunno the condition its in, and if it breaks on u its goin to cost a arm n a leg in the long run...i cant stress this enuff, in the world of cars, u literally get wut u pay for...theres really no easy way of going cheap...like stated above, if u kno wut ur doing and know where to look, u can piece together a kit urself dat may or may not be better then the kits avaiable and may or may not be less expensive. there has been several threads on here of people piecing there won kits, they list everything they bought and how much ti cost them, try searching for a few...other then turbo, nitrous wud be ur best bang for ur buck to cure ur lil need for speed...

Before you purchase anything do a leak down test or compression check on your cylinders. To be honest I wouldn't turbo an engine with 160k. You're just asking for problems.

I don't think there's such thing as Fuel Injectors bolt up, there are diff type of injectors out there and when you buy them, you need to make sure that they will fit your car. About the manifold (turbo) i know this guy on Ebay and there's whom i asked to make me my Turbo Manifold and it fit perfectly on my 01 Accord. and it was only $200 Shipped. All you need to tell him or draw a picture to him and show him where you want your Turbo Flange to locate and where your Wastegate Flange, and he can make any sizes of the Flange but all manifolds are Log style. Hope this help

200 is a kinda pricey for lag style, i am assuming that it's front mild steel, not heavy gauge SS. 200 you can get a short runner manifold for most honda. maybe you got it maybe years ago.
Dsm manifold is cheap and all but if you are looking for any serious gain, you might end up selling it.
