Default Antenna Question I searched but I couldnt find anything

mine wont go down I hear the motor but it wont go down. I just took off the inside panal what can I look for?

I think there's a little ribbon thing that the motor pulls/pushes to raise and lower the antenna. They break sometimes. Could be that. I used to have the same problem, and then my antenna broke right off, so the fact that it won't go down isn't really a problem anymore.

Antenna is raised via a long plastic track, notched on on side for gear teeth to
intermesh and raise and lower the mast.

Buy a new mast and mast nut key, remove nut, and pull the old mast out.

Stick new mast and its track into the hole and turn the radio OFF, sucking the new mast in, tighten nut and done.

MIne did the same thing. Just grab it by the top and push it down. Unplug the pwr to the antenna. I now have the S2K antenna conversion.. haha

get rid of the pos antenna and hook yourself up with a honda s2000 antenna. it looks much better and you never have to worry about a damn motor burning out on you. good luck.
