Default ot: For those of you who host Dyno Days....

does everybody blame the freaking Dyno for their #`s?!?!? Time for poeple to start admitting that some chit just don`t work even though it says _____ on it! The s2000 guys are the worst. 7 out of 10 lose power, or make stock power, w/ a good $1,500-2,500 in mods and the Dyno is the blame every godamn time. Sweet jesus, I`m so sick of it. Thanks for listening

It's their new fangled computer that Honda developed...damn thing is too smart for it's own good. Drive the car like you stole it for ~15 minutes before you dyno, then you should have the numbers that you were looking for...also the retard based on the intake temperature is a little drastic.

I like to blame it on the dyno operator/tuner

I don't know but it just seems that the dynojet at Import Builders just puts out very low numbers.

compared to Area51? ITR`s w/ bolt-ons should not do 179.

Area51 is kinda wack in terms of their numbers. I don't think thats right. I'm comparing it to other dynojets across the country. I'm fine with my numbers cause they mean nothing to me. I just want to see how much I gained and not what I end up with.

And that is the only thing a wheel dyno is good for. If you want true hp numbers, get a motor dyno with a controlled enviroment.

Noooo, I`m not saying Area51 fudged numbers, they just have a different type of Dyno. I had fun at their Dyno Day . Like I said, it`s majority s2k folk. I think Area51 only did 1-2 s2k`s but I didn`t see their numbers.

What pisses me off is that every jumps to conclusions and blames the Dyno even though there are 2165345264563246254 variables that can, and do, occur. Guy was messing w/ his FPR the night before and loses 10 ponies but blames the Dyno. Another is flogging on his car w/ only 700 miles on it and makes abit less than average. An auto IS300 expects to add 75 ponies to the wheels by installing a 75 shot nos kit. blah blah blah........

Haha. People do seem to blame dynos probably because they believe that they are 100% accurate and will produce the same results everytime. If I installed something new on my car I would expect it to gain MORE power. That's being optimisitic though because you never know what can happen.

Yeah, but I got 174.1 on the "low ball" IB dyno...

The purpose of a dyno is not of compare numbers between two different dynos. It's rarely consistent. It's to do before and after on the same dyno, preferablely on the same day. This way you are testing the relative amount gained or lost.
