Ok so I had this guy(said he owned some kinda body work shop) pull my dents out of my driver side door.......... i mean he kinda did it but it still looks really BAD, its a lil uneven, theres a huge *** gap between the side panel and my door still (about 1").... and he 'painted' the door but the color doesnt match a bit!!!!!!!!!! i mean yeah i guess i got what i paid for ($40 bucks!) it looks like complete **** right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was eventually going to paint the car but I guess this is coming much sooner, i was gonna wait till my next paycheck to get some suspension stuff (tein s tech springs to be exact) but now i dont even know what i should do.......i wanted to paint the car but before that i was gonna pick up a new front and rear bumper......(old ones have cracks, etc) i mean damn the side molding is all fucked up too...and i cant find JDM thin side moldings ANYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so what im thinking now is to get the bumpers and primer it with sandable black primer (rattle can stuff from kragen...used it on my hood and it worked good when i had sun damage, so my hood is primered too for now) ....... or do you guys have another suggestion? i am EXTREMELY tight on cash right now... PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

if you get new bumpers... im guessing (oem style) its going to be black... so i wouldn't primer it. ill leave that to the pro's

 

I'd just go beat the dudes *** till he does it right. Even if you didn't pay much for it, you didn't ask him to do a shitty job. You asked him to do the job right. If he does have a business find out where and report him to the better business buero <sp?, so this doesn't happen to other people as well.

 

And if I were you I'd rethink the tein S-techs.....read up about them first, at least.

They make your car handle like **** and sag like a bitch. They're more for show cars IMO. Not cars that like to be driven.

happened to me too...i found out where the ****** lives..and sprayed all his cars with paint remover........fucked up a new denali of his ahahahahhaha

3 years ago, some guy in a white truck ask me if I wanted him to fix my dents for $90 bucks, I said, no, my dad had someone does his, and it didn't come out right, so hell no I aint gonna trust you to do it.

That red neck got really pissed when I said that, the he parked his car, and was about to confront me with a crow bar, but he looked around and said, nope, he was in the wrong place and was out numbered.

So he just approach me and said, was it the same company that did that work? He then gave me a photo album and showed me his recent work and blaah blah, and said, dont be talking **** about my company. and took off.

doesnt matter how much she paid, what matters is the guy said he would do it right.

yeah it really fucked my **** up.............. i mean it looks "okay" cause the dent is out but its nowhere near perfect or anything...

what should i do? primer my car??? sand it and get a spray can of oem paint and go over it??? ughhh, and the ****** promised to come back today and finish up the other dent above it and FLAKED on me...what a piece of ****

i mean if worse comes to worst i can buy a new left door and primer the whole car or something, but i dont know how easy a door is to install/wire and/or how much that will cost.....

its not THAT bad.. but its pretty bad, i think im gonna go to some shops and get a quote on how much it would be to fix the dents all the way and paint my whole car... i guess i learned a lesson........YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.. had to learn it the hard way... but im glad that now i know.. gonna save up for it and get a GOOD job done this time... thanks guys

 

i'm just picturing your ride in my head...rollin down the street with a primered hood, cracked bumpers, f'd side moldings, and a drivers door that is dented, gapped, and miscolored....damn boy, fix that **** up soon!

my cracked front bumper (cant see it) and primered hood that i didnt sand very well so it looks like **** with scratches all over......... if you look closely you can see my dents on my driver side door, but just imagine some gold primer there for now.......and u have my car.....

 

dude thats not bad at all . take some 320 sandpaper to the hood and smooth it out . if the door is buggin you go down to pepboys and look at the car colors they have in the spray cans . pick the one that matches best . you could also go down to a automotive paint store and have them put your car color paint into a spray can and then u can paint your door that way until it comes time for your paintjob .

well im a ******* idiot cause i sanded my hood with 60 grit to start with cause kragen said to................................ (yes i know im really stupid)

so its got like scratches way into the metal (cause i sanded down to the metal in SOME spots but not others...didnt have a power sander)... i mean i CAN wet sand it probably, but at this point i think i wanna leave everything to the pros on my car
