Just got back my gsR
So i just got me my 98gsr from the body shop..I had it repainted, all dents fixed and side moldings removed. I asked them to remove the vtec badge but they forgot, so i left it. The car is starlight black pearl, it has blue sparkles..I had me headlights replaced because one was cracked and the other was scratched up...Now, my right projector beam, not the whole headlight, just the beam is stuck in a down position and i cant move or adjust it to level out..Now they didnt use honda headlights..they are made by another company i guess, but they look exactly like the honda ones, i compared it to the old ones...
My question is this, is there any difference in light between the stock honda headlights and after market replicas? Man, i am gonna look at the name brand in the morning, maybe iTs a honda one or the same ones honda uses if made by some other company. Does honda make those headlights or some other company?..sorry if i sound a litte off, long night....tired did too much f**ing, fun, still bit tipsy and other ****....I may post pics sometime, or maybe i can email one of you guys and you do it...

ok, well when you say you told them to remove the vtec badge did they remove it, paint the car and then put on a new one. paint over the old sticker, or tape off the sticker and paint the car. if they took it off and then put on a new one when they were done you should be able to get it off without damaging the paint. try a hairdrier to get it warm enough to make the glue soften up a little and then peel it off. if they left it on and taped it off leave it on otherwise it will look terrible.
for the swirl marks it would probably try a good quality polish first and see if that does anything, if not take it back to them and complain. black or any darker colors are a bitch.

???? bump????
wtf answer my question fool
try using your eyes and look at the headlights and see if they have any honda markings. you should be able to tell if they're aftermarket or **** just look at the estimate sheet from the body shop and that will tell you what they put on, or were suppose to....

pfft....the guy isn't even on right now haha
and just about every body shop (even hondas) uses aftermarket parts, not OEM.
unless you ask for OEM and pay for it. if it's insurance we're talking about paying for something, you WON'T get OEM from them.

yeah thats true about. some insurance companies like state farm and country companies will pay for new oe parts on cars 4 years old and newer but anything older than that is sure to get some tong yang aftermarket crap

well there are minor swirl marks on it but they told me after 35 days i can wax it and the mark will go away...as far as the vtec badge, I am not sure what they did, i will ask because i wanted it off...and if they taped it, maybe they can remove it and buff it. Or would the whole bumper have to be repainted? its no big deal to me anyways. The headlights are not oem by the way..
My question was, does the oem headlight shine brighter than after markets???
