Hi I am new to this forum, so I guess this would be my introduction and my question.

My fiance and I own a 2008 Honda Accord sedan purchased maybe 7 months ago we recently took it on a drive to Orlando. As we arrived the next morning we washed all the bugs off the windshield and the front bumper and surrounding areas and didnt notice any cracks on the headlights.
When we returned after the weekend we noticed that morning after, (to do the same) that both head light casing were riddled with numerous cracks. Though we didnt hit anything nor did anything that would warrant these cracks...
Has this happened to anyone else or is this something that I can get replaced by honda. I have purchased previous headlights for our previous honda civic that reached the 100,000 mile mark but not for this reason and they are expensive and annoying to replace.
Any insight or ideas would be greatly appreciated

If you don't think that you were responsible for the cracks when driving... you were than likely a victim of vandalism.

Im not any expert on anything that would be considered mechanical but the cracks look more like stress. Ie.. wind, or pressure definitely doesnt look like vandalism.

Is your car under warranty? Maybe you can get a free or low cost replacement. If not, I would check with eBay and try to snag a pair.

Was your headlight faded before it cracked? Do you run daylights? weather,sun and lights on all the time has a fading and weakening effect on all modern cars with these lenses. The lenses should last longer though, strange.
