Did you align the rings correctly?

im pretty sure i did.well i just took off the pistons and they have carbon but are wet a bit i think with oil.on two of the pistons there are also burns on the side of them right to the first piston rings.can this mean they are burned?

if you dont have an oil leak then it can only be rings to use that much oil in a week

if you do have a leak then it might be valve stem seals but you would still have to have an oil slick on your driveway for this much oil to be used

is it burning the oil or leaking- ? even if one ring was bad it would last a little longer that this - all four would need to be seated incorrectly

Sounds like your ring packs were aligned. They're not supposed to be....If you burnt the side of the piston, you may have scared your cyl wall.

latest from the machine shop,
the cylinders are off spec, only one cylinder is good.the cylinder walls also had some small scratches i could feel with my finger nail.now none of my friends or connects have gsr bottom ends.so up for grabs right now are a second gen sirII block includes everything except clutch and flywheel, my gsr block complete with no rods or pistons and will need to be bored includes block guard no clutch or flywheel, another gsr block legit will also have to bore one cylinder is off spec.
so throw me offers or trades for legit standard gsr blocks 81mm or just a legit gsr block housing standard size.
