just wondering what temps are normal for a d series or any honda engine for that matter. i normally run about 230 degrees F. which to me sounds high. but my stock temp gauge sits at about 3/8" of the way up. today i even did a radiator flush and added 75% water, 25% coolant and 3/4 bottle of water wetter. water wetter = waste of money, didnt do ****.

i have the aftermarket temp sensor placed in the upper radiator hose outlet on the head where the bleeder screw goes. just like mista bone. my turbo sits right below and manifold right beside it and they put out a high amount of heat. do you think thats affcting the reading?

 

Is the turbo water cooled as well? The one I had was and naturally will raise your normal water temp because of added strain on the system.

alrighty, do you have an intercooler on there then? cause the warmer gases going into the motor will cause it to run hoter as well. Ive been driving my bike this weekend and havent looked at my temp gage to see what its at exactly, I just glance at it and know its fine never noted the actuall temp down.
