Did LX 4-Doors Come with Rear Disc?
Just wondering, tried searching but there are SO many results for rear disc and you cant search LX..i was at the junkyard the other day and found an lx 4 door with rear disc. Is this stock? Thanks in advance..if they did..its news to me.
Edit: Forgot to mention this was an eg.

I got a stock DX with front and rear 99-00 SI brakes. I got them for cheap and decided that bigger front brakes couldn't hurt. Also it is much easier to replace the rear pads now.

YES some lx sedans came equipped with rear disk and the big integra sized 10.3'' brakes in the front. it was a very rare option. the reason for the rear disk was the addition of the ABS option. ALL EGs that came factory euipped with ABS (all ex 4 doors some ex coupes, some si hatches, some lx sedans) had 4 wheel disk. but only the si had the small 9'' brakes in front even when equipped with ABS. ALSO all EX coupes built in the US came equipped with the 10.3'' front rotors and rear drum. only japanese built EX coupes had ABS and 4 wheel disk.

i was wondering that, cause there's this dx sedan around where i live that has rear discs and the car is bone stock with everything else. It's been puzzling me for a while, cause it's not like someone would just swap to rear discs while leaving everything else bone stock.

Sure it's not an LX?
The LX looks just like the Dx, but it has power windows and doorlocks. The DX was never offered with rear discs, only EX and LX w/ABS.

BTW:
While we're on the subject of Civic brakes, a few more tidbits I've gathered (most of it I already knew) by looking through the Honda Parts Reference Guide, 2005 book here at work:
All 92-95 Si hatches had rear discs
ONLY 1994 had an option for ABS for the Si hatch model
1992-1994 (1994 non-ABS) Si hatches had the smaller front brakes
1995 Si hatches carry a different part number from the 92-94 (1994 non-ABS that is)
Only 94-95 offered ABS as an option for the LX 4-door, while 92-95 EX had the option for ABS
ALL 92-95 Ex 4 doors has rear discs - ABS or not ( as evidenced by the lack of rear shoes for any 92-95 Ex 4-door)

No coupes were ever made in Japan. Even the JDM coupes were made here, and shipped over. Either here or Canada.
All coupe vins begin with 1 or 2.
