Time Trail Preperations Continue - New Number Plate On
The preperations for the 10/15-16 SCCA national Time Trial events continues. If nobody minds I will report my progress as I prepare for the event and of course photos and reports from the two days.

Some of you asked for a photo of the new number plate once I got it on the car. I designed these and had them printed at a local shop. I am such a goof when it comes to putting these things on - I was just happy to not completely have destroyed them. Some bubbles remain but I figure they will either work themselves out of I can mess with getting them out later.

The class I am running (regional Open Street Prepared) is filling up nicely with 9 entries, including the big name of Bub Tunnell in his beautifully prepared 95 M3. I think he just put a supercharge on that thing. OSP entry list:
- Chaterham Super 7
- 89 Honda CRX
- 95 Mitsubishi Eclipse (Turbo)
- 92 Mazda Miata
- 98 Acura Integra Type R
- Acura Integra LS (Turbo)
- 99 Chevrolet Corvette
- 95 BMW M3
Full event entry list: http://www.sccatimetrials.org/...t.php
Still on my list for preparations:
- Getting the Toyo RA-1s I purchased and get 1-2 days at the track with them before the event.
- New Cobalt Spec VR pads (bed at above track day)
- Install the Sparco Ring steering wheel (thanks BlueR
) and remove airbags.
- Oil and filter change
- Bleed brakes of course
My clutch disc has been giving me some issues at track days with overheating. I am hoping I can finish out the year before replacing it over the winter...
Overal I am extremely excited and I'm looking forward to adding a bit of competition to some of my days at the track.

At least it's right side up.

I know it looks crooked in the photo - but trust me it is not (I'm not that goofy). The angle of the photo and the fact that the door/window line is not straight on our car makes it look a bit strange in the pic.

G'luck with the time trials!
And that's one messed up classing right there. Personally, I know I wouldn't want to be classed anywhere near a C5 Corvette or a Caterham Super 7. Please take pics of the Super 7.

LOL - yeah, those cars are going to be fast.. but I like the challenge.
I will be sure to have photos of most everything that turns a wheel at the event.
