SOHC to DOHC
the head swap of putting an h22 head on an f22 block has been attempted before but requires a LOT of work. Your probably better off just swapping the entire h22 motor in.
Definitely. You can pick up a good H motor from someplace like hmotorsonline.com for 2 grand. You won't see as many gains as you would with a turbo, however, so it's up to you where you want to spend 2k+
im difinetly getting a turbo kit in the future but i want a dohc engine over my sohc, and would you happen to know how much horsepower a stock h22 engine produces. thnx

i think you might want to just stop, slow down, and actually learn about what your trying to do here. research all the options, and decide what is best for you....do you want the possibility of the car being in a LOT of down time -both before and after the swap?....swapping and then boosting an H is not something that any idiot with a wrench can do in a weekend.....

The H is less boost happy than an F, actually. On an F you could boost 8-10 psi all day long, while an H would start to get cranky after about 6 without being built and tuned properly. I believe the difference is sleeving and compression ratio...
