need a new cat but got a question on size
i have an espelier cat back and DC header. the piping on the cat back's 60mm --> 2.36in. but all the high flow cats are either 2.25in or 2.5in in/out...i'm confused as to which size would fit. thanks
I would suggest going with the 2.25" cat. Keep in mind that cats are measured using inner diameter, while exhausts are measured using outer diameter, so a 2.25" cat is approximately 60mm (2.36") OD, depending upon the tubing thickness.
hey get a random techonolgy cat...there a hi flow cat, w/3inch in/out.....work awesome........i had one...bought it with it already on the car...after a yr, it rattled, so, me didnt know much on cats, went to the muffler store to pick up a cat, and they gave me a 2.25 cat....ok?...lost my power...i checked my records, and they took off a random cat that was on the car........so they deff. work..im going to replace, my *new* cat, w/ a new random..cuz it took my power.......they r 270 tho.....but its well worth it, cuz they deff. work....they should work w/ur setup...i have dc headers 4-2-1..and rsr cat back ..........

so the 3' fit?
Virtually any size will fit if the correct flanges are welded to it.
