ok i know that if you have no knock-sensor and have it bypassed by a chipped computer you will still engage vtec..but would the CEL cause vtec to not engage?

already checked the vtec pressure switch and oil level n thats not the cause of my problem..checking the solenoid with my friends solenoid today to see if that could be it..any help would be appreciated

well if its throwing a code for the knock sensor, then the comp definitely knows theres not a knock sensor, therefore disabling vtec
