I'm installing a JDM SiR cluster in my 1991 CRX. The SiR cluster uses a electronic VSS, where as my CRX uses a cable.

What model and year of vehicle do I need to get the VSS from to work with the OEM 1991 "D" Series tranny (L3 cable type)

Is that the same as 96 - 00, or only the 99 Si.

 

you can use any electronic vss.

b series, d series., H series

 

The 92 -95 unit looks totally different than the 96 -00 unit. I do not even know if mounting is the same. the 92-95 loks like a 2 piece unit where the 96+ is one piece.

 

The VSS needs to fit a 1988-1991 D Series cable tranny. Currently their is a one bolt clip that holds the speedo cable gear unit to the transmission case.
