idle problem
I recently bent all my exhaust valves and tore down the head and rebuilt it to stock spec. After i did all this i replaced the stock throttle body(with a 70mm)intake maniflod, and the fuel rail (with a high flow fuel rail). Now i am having problems with the engine idling. It bounces up and down. Sometimes it idles around 1500 rpms sometimes it idles at 100 rpms then stalls out. I have adjusted the idle screw but then i throw a light for the system being to rich. Any info would be awesome.
ps anyone know how to reset the maintence required light?

Idle problems are commonly known to happen with aftermarket throttle bodies. What brand do you have and is it calibrated correctly? Try getting a can of carb cleaner and spraying around your throttle body and intake manifold and see if it causes the engine to die out. If so, you have a leak.
Maintenance light is under the driver side dash. Look for the blue button. Put the key in the start position and hold the button down for a few seconds and it should go away.

the fuel rail was a waste of money, and the 70 mm tb is overkill. It sounds like your tps is out of adjustment, it should read .5 volts closed 4.5-5v wide open

I had the exact same problem after I rebuilt the head on my old teg. However, I used the stock throttle body and fuel rail.
I susped the TPS is malfunctioning, or the TB is not calibrated properly. I tried cleaning it, but no results.
