Default My EM1 1/4mile times

Well I actually did this in June, but I thought I would post my times just to see what some of you guys think or say. It was at Kilkare dragway in Xenia, Ohio. Weather was blah, cloudy, upper 70s-low 80s, but the humidity was a bitch. All runs done with bald *** ES100s, short ram, and gutted trunk.

1st run (no burnout to warm tires, and 2000rpm street launch)
60ft.........2.4762
330ft.......6.9100
594ft.......9.7910
1/8.........10.4331
1/8mph...70.08
1/4.........15.9619
1/4mph...88.43

2nd run (1st gear burnout, 4000rpm clutch dump launch)
60ft.........2.4298
330ft.......6.7872
594ft.......9.6300
1/8.........10.2651
1/8mph...70.85
1/4.........15.7459
1/4mph...89.46

3rd run (same as 2nd run)
60ft.........2.4110
330ft.......6.7110
594ft.......9.5480
1/8.........10.1790
1/8mph...71.32
1/4.........15.6430
1/4mph...89.30

Then on my 4th run, I missed 3rd gear and ran 17.2@82...I threw that slip away

I was pretty happy with my times that day, saying that it is my first manual tranny car, and I only had it for a month or so at the time. Honestly I was just trying to stay out of the 16s, well I did. I want to go back when the fall weather hits and its a lot cooler to see if it makes a difference.

For your mods those are pretty decent times. Get some better tires if you plan to take it the strip much and your 60ft can improve.

in the colder weather u will hit 90 mph if u can maybe try to launch higher and slip the clutch. U jus gotta get the 60' down and your got a low 15 second car. (launching is tough with the heavy *** em-1 and torqueless b16 i know i used to have the setup and i couldnt get much better 60s either.

Yeah since then I have replaced those ES100s, but they were with kuhmo ecsta asx all season tires. Honestly the 1/4 mile wasnt a concerne when I baught the Kuhmo's, but now that I have a winter beater, im kinda mad that I didnt get some good summer gummy tires. I am confident that I can pull a lower et. Thanks for the imput

your tires are probably bald because of the pointless burnout before a run... it is unecessary to burn out street tires.... notice how your 60ft got no better.... if you get some new tires, you can take the 60ft down results a better time... but definitly good times for your mods

The best i could get out of my EM1 when i had just a Short Ram Intake is:

60'-----2.43
1/8----10.134
mph---69.38
1000'-13.145
1/4----15.694
mph---87.63

With a decent 60' you could be in the low 15's....
