knocking sounds when turning?

hey all... what would cause a knocking sound when turning in the front end? car is a 94 LX completely stock... she said she can hear it over the windows being down

Is it when you are in full lock? what kind of knocking sound? like 'Click click click click click' ? When you turn both ways?

It sounds like a new axle to me.

all you gotta do is undo the balljoint, pop it out of the LCA, use a prybar or bigass screwdriver to pop the axle out of the tranny and then voila its removed
