I had a set of weisco ultra light 88mm pistons running 13:1 compression, recently I tore down my block just to see how everything was holding up and I found that it wasn't. The bearings (clevite) were almost shelling off, like flaking and my walls were filled with tiny scratches from what appeared to be the tiny oilrings in the piston wearing off. Needless to say I am looking for new pistons and am shooting for about 600whp boosted and am wondering who to order through? Any thoughts, vouches for companies and nightmares of poor quality and customer service would be appreciated.

 

You can get 89mm pistons from just about anyone. personally i went with cp wit my block. on a side note, is this block sleeved? i wouldnt really want to run 89mm bore on a boosted block because if something goes wrong there isnt much room left to bore it out any more.

 

I have a scored block that housed 88's and have few options I know I could get them anywhere I was just wondering who is the best. I was thinking arias or JE but I have never boosted so how would I know their reputation?
