What made you want to get a bike?
How did the bug bite you? The bug got me when all my neighbors got bikes a few years ago and I wanted to go out with them. I had dirt bikes, 3 wheelers, etc growing up on a farm so it was pretty easy learning on a 250.

Had bikes for so long I can't remember. I got my first street bike 12 years ago and my first dirt bike a lot longer than that.
What makes me stay is I just enjoy it more than pretty much anything else.

When I was young everytime I saw I motorcycle I would point and yell motorcycle three times. I had this amazing theory that if I said it everytime I would get a motorcycle one day. I can't say what attracted me but I believe I started this around age 3.
I guess I was born to ride.
I guess I was born to ride.
Started riding dirt bikes at 9, rode them for 10 years, fought with parents about getting first streetbike at 19. Bought it against their will, crashed it, just like they said I would. Never stopped me, just made me buy better gear....Still riding to this day...I got bitten by a bug the first time i ever rode a streetbike....its a differnt world than dirt thats for sure.
Just hit me one day earlier this year, I was never interested in dirtbikes or ATVs or anything-
It just hit me like a sack of bricks- and my mom and dad have always tried to get me into bikes because they used to ride- but ever since then I'm just obsessed.

The rising sun is best viewed at 70mph. Chicks dig scars. The thrill. The spills. The challenge. Being able to say "yeah, that's my bike". For the post-ride beer. For the post-ride bullshit. For the solitude. For the solace. For the friends. Because it's hard. Because it's not for everyone. For the looks of longing from people in cars. You would always rather be on the bike. For the speed. For the noise. For the chance, for the possibility. For the sound of pucks on the ground. For the whine of a four, the thump of a twin. You got a girlfriend. You got dumped. You got hired. You got fired. Because you don't need A/C. Or the radio. You need the wind. For the fun. For the fear. For the pain. For the first time you tonned it. For all the first times. Because everything else is irrelevant at 150mph. Being able to fill up with a tenner. For the songs you sing into your helmet. For the hands blackened with grease and grime. For the leather. For your heroes. For the people you love. To see—the road, the environment, outside the frame of a car window. For the cigarettes you smoked parked under a highway overpass waiting for the rain to subside. For waking up in DC and going to sleep in the mountains of West Virginia. For the hangouts. Being able to say "I fixed it." Because the bike will always be there for you.
Why do you ride?

I took the MSF course and fell in love. My buddy got a bike and I got the very same one just a different color. I wanted to feel instant acceleration. Being at peace on the road. Taking in nature and all it had to offer, without looking through a window.
my dad has bee a mc mechanic since before i was born..so ive been around them my whole life...was on a dirtbike at 3...started riding streetbikes around 14...now if only i could afford one of my own...
when I was 9 years old my older bro would take me around the block on his bike. It was the greatest feeling in the world. Ever since then I wanted a bike and Now I have one. In 4 years my brother gets out of jail, and hes turned his life around. He is planning on coming out to CA from OH and starting over. He said he wants to get a bike again and ride with me. I cant wait!!!

My brother also got me started on bikes. He had a V45 and a couple VFRs, and took me for rides even from when I was very small.
Sucks to hear your brother isn't around for you to ride with, hope everything works out.
