car idles strange - where to start
my car idles kinda high 2-3k and then drops every 2 secs to 1k for like 1 sec and repeats. it seems to chill out when it warms up but i still notice it sounds like my engine cuts out for a split second every few seconds.
its a 90 accord ex 5spd, and other then this it runs good, just dont know where to start looking for the problem, any suggestions would be nice

First thing you need to do is check your coolant level and be sure the block is burped out thru the 12mm bleed screw by the T-stat housing.
The fast idle valve might need adjusted [see link]

open the top of the fast idle valve and turn down the plastic screw ring a couple turns. You should hear a little air bypassing the valve when the engine is cold, but when the engine is warmed up the valve should be closed fully. If you turn the screw all the way in you might loose the cold start fast idle.
