well i just bought a GS-r
and like have had it for a few days with no complaints
but now its acting pretty weird at first i noticed that when its cold it locks me out of all the gears cant shift it no matter what, unless i turn the car off then back on again

when the car is off it shifts into every gear fine no problem...

sometime times i can put it in reverse and it will open up all the gears

also i noticed that when the clutch is all the way out it makes a whining sound like kinda loud but when i press it in it goes away

any tips or help would be appriciated

sounds like the clutch is toast but when earlier tonight when i was pushing the car the clutch did not slip and motor felt healthy

but when i arrived home i hear that loud whining sound and the clutch would not work

update.....

fixed the problem i was just hella low on fluid it was leaking for the pass side axle seal

yea your clutch is done..ive been through that before.

yea thats what im thinking damn.....

 

my guess the spring in the clutch is coming apart, and is binding between flywheel and clutch.

Your symptoms are identical to mine when it happend to me.

 

whatd u do?

replace the whole clutch?

or fix the springs?

 

if u have it apart u might as well change the clutch and hell get a flywheel while yer at it or atleast get it resurfaced nothing sucks more than a burnt flywheel with waves in it.

 

well it was gay i was driving it right now no lock out seems to only happen when the tranny is cold

 

well i drove the car the whole day yesterday with no problems hmmmm......

 

same thing happen to me last month. sometimes it drove perfect, sometimes it wouldnt go into gear at all. and it also made noises. your cluch is dead. sooner or later you wont be able to put it in gear no more. so change it soon before you cant drive it

 

yup yup your clutch is owned.....time for new one! ahahaha im putting mine in tomorrow..same problems i have..

sounds like the clutch im try some tranny fluid tommorw hopefully it helps
