Default So Cal Auto X, Join a club?

Hey Guys, I have been on http://www.Solo2.com and i am getting excited to finally get my car up and running and take her to the races. But i seem to remember that you have to be a member of a club to race. Is this true? If so what are some good/bad clubs. I dont want to be tied into all sorts of meetings and events, but I would like to be able to meet up with other guys at the races, hang out with them, work on each others cars and have a good time.

Any advice you can provide would be great.
Thanks!

Last I remeber, you don't need to be apart of a club to race.

A lot of those people drive me nuts, that's why I'm competing anymore. SCNAX and No Bucks are the "intro" clubs, good for new compact car racers. Nice people, I just didn't mesh well.

Racing clubs are for losers.

Honestly, it doesn't really matter which club. You should come hang out at one of our events and talk to some folks if you want to decide which one fits you best. Next one is on 9/25.

And yes, if you want a points card, you have to choose one of the sub-clubs under the CSCC umbrella.

You don't have to have a points card though. You can just show up, pay your $, and run with a temporary number for the day.
