I know plenty of people who use em and love em, but then again I've been into VW for a long time.

being low doesn't mean the performance will suffer.. how do you explain Touring cars ? dtm ? btcc ?

they dont just drop in a 'kit' and call it a day. Suspension arms and pieces are remade, relocated and/or re-engineered having [significantly] different angles and connection points to provide optimal suspension angles and movement. Spring rate and proper damping are one thing.

touring cars actually raise the wheel hub higher rather than fully dropping the suspension.

While its true that lowering the car doesn't automatically mean that performance will suffer, the people who take it too far and try and tuck their tires better not expect any sort of performance benefits or manageable ride. There is a difference between lowering and "slamming", and there are big differences between our cars and race cars.

God I hate spanner wrenches..Why people don't follow ground controls/progress design is beyond me..Take my wheels off every time I want to raise/lower my car=no thanks
