What do I need to get to fix the distributor (98 ITR)?
My distributor on my 98 Integra Type R is shot. Thinking it is the bearings inside. What do I need to get to fix this? Do I need to buy a whole new distributor, the distributor housing, the coil assy ignition...have no clue. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in advance...
youshould buy a new one from the dealer. you can salvage the coil and igniter module. if it is the bearing only then change the entire housing. honda distributors are very common to break down. or you can buy an aftermarket rebuild. but the rebuilds sometimes fail faster(short life span)
don't screw yourself buy OEM!!! you can get just the distributor housing (w/ the pickup and harness) and swap over the coil and ignitor, DO NOT BUY AFTERMARKET JUNK!!
I agree- aftermarket reman crap distributors are a waste of time and money- they are heaps of trash that are nothing but garbage- just like every other aftermarket remanufractured piece of crap. Stay with Honda!!!!!!
