Default 4.57 gear

sup every one i been hearing about a good stuff about the the 4.57 gear... i heard it going to boost your launch.. is anyone here have it on their s2k??? please share your experience and let me know where you guys got them... thanks

The stock gearing is capable of 170 or so. The cars drag and power limits it to 150 or so. With the .57's you still will be able to reach 150.

don't have them, but a buddy does and he walks away from me...basically the same mods....by 1 1/2 cars...but i do start coming back once i hit about 100

So you wouldn't want the 4.57 gears in the AP2, since 8k in 6th gear does 156.

shorter gears = smaller top speed

ie. top speed on stock ap2 is low 170's

i have the 4.77 FD and my top speed is 143, thats right before it bounces off the limter in 6th gear

so you saying is the 4.77 is better than the 4.57?? ether one of them wont do any damage on an almost daily driven s2k right??

4.57 is a really high gear. would be good for drag racing but I dont think it would be good for a daily driver.

i use the 4.77 in my daily driven s2k, no complaints here. now remember this is an ap1 i have

for the ap2, i don't recommend more than a 4.57 FD for a daily driven one

how long ur had ur 4.77 gear?? wats ur 1/4 and wat ur mods under the hood??

do u have any problem in the freeway?? is it similar with the stock??
