crower cams but need a new clutch?
im thinking about buying some stage II crower camshafts with the upgraded valvetrain. but my friend is telling me that i need a new clutch because there will be some major slippage with the stock clutch. im wondering which clutch i should get because i know nothing about the different clutches. all the help would be appreciated.
Just get a "StageII" clutch or something - you won't need one that soon.....unless you're doing something big - those clutches(depends on manufacturere) should be able to hold 250+whp..............
Get a lighter flywheel while you're at it

ok im just wondering because so far i have intake and headers. and im going to get the stage II camshafts, new valvetrain, exhaust, and probably hondata. so im just wondering. im pretty sure i should be past the 200 whp mark so should i upgrade the clutch?
to be honest you dont have to..... my friend ran a stock clutch w/ these cams for about a year w/ no problem...... but that's not to say that a new clutch and lighter flywheel wouldnt help......

I agree too. With only cams you aren't going to need anything. Put that money into more NA things like a port and polish, or valves, springs, and retainers or something.

I have header, intake, exhaust, shooting a 75hp shot of nitrous, I've run through about 15 bottles with no clutch slippage. (60,000 miles and still on stock clutch). So I would say No you don't need a new/better clutch, wait until you notice slippage before you bother to replace it.
