Sounds like its not getting a good read from the o2 sensor. Its been a while since I had one so I don't remember where the wires need to go.

the guage is an auto meter. u think it could be the guage it self then? i mean everyone i talk to tells me something dif i just wish i could get this problem solved been working on it for like 2 weeks now. don't think i need a new o2 sensor do you...??

try connecting it to the black wire on the sensor with the grey connector.

non-wideband afr guages are basically useless. they're only useful when you're running lean from idle to wot or rich from idle to wot. besides that, you will not get an accurate reading. dont tune your afr with that thing either.

theres 2 black wires a green and a white. the white wire is the signal wire which is where u need to connect the purple wire 2 but im not getting a reading. may be it is the black wires but im sure its the white.......

you need to hook your signal wire up to the wire running to the pcm. on my 02 its the white/red wire on the connector to the far left if you looking at the pcm from the passenger seat. the pcm is directly behind the glove box and they are correct do not tune from it, but thats how you hook it up i had the same issue with mine also.

Its not getting a good signal because the stock 02-04 RSX/EP3 O2 sensor is a wideband (well, actually "semi-wideband technology") and the autometer guage is a narrowband guage. The voltage ranges are different and thus, your signal will be way off. Trust me, I had one too.

its the connector to the far left if your sitting in the passenger seat another thing is where are you located and is your car rhd if so it might be completely different just though i would ask i have no issues out of mine it works properly let me know what you find out

The only way mine worked was connected to the black wire on the sensor AFTER the cat.
