im am unsure where to hook it into the ecu, but everyone that i know that has installed one has wired it to the o2 sensor. but they never throw accurate readings unless you have a wideband. more less just a light show. and the purple wire is the one you will need to hook up.

for a more accurate reading...source the o2 wire on the ecu. and yeah, no point in really having it, unless you have a wideband, which you would be running a separate o2 sensor for it anyways.

if you do decide to wire it up on the factory o2 sensor wire it on the primary one.

isn't it just going to bounce around eratically and only really work at WOT off a stock o2 sensor?

yeah pretty much. that is wh ymany people say its just a light show. some think it will tell you if something is seriously wrong but i dont believe it. but some people like having the sweeping lights in there face all the time while driving.

um well sort of actually. if you ever have tested ur o2 sensor with a multimeter you would know what it would kinda look like. basically a cold o2 goes from .5-9volts i believe. been awhile since i have tested one (prolly a couple of months) it will do this when it's in closed loop and will do this at a very rapid rate. once it's warm the volt's should hold a steady reading at idle and go up as the rev's rise. stock o2 is a very limited way of reading your a/f and i would suggest money is well spent on a wideband as it will help if you ever go N/A build or FI.

just remember closed loop is by taking preset values for a/f and not sending back a signal. once it's open the o2 and ecu communicate and adjust the a/f as needed.
