Hey..i am currently in the process of buying a swap for my 89 std honda civic....i am either going to get a b18a1 or a zc...right now i am trying to get the ls for 500 with tranny...but i have been lookin around and i found a zc for 250 but it has no tranny...i want some opinions on what swap would be better....i plan on later this year or early next year getting cams,pistons,rods,and basic bolt-ons...i just want some opinions...thanks.

 

get a zc u can use your std tranny for now all you will have to do is wire for dpfi i think i got the file for that around here somewhere then change the 2 wires on the dizzy and you should be set im currently in the process of building my crx with a dohc zc turbo t3t4 .50 trim and what not late

 

i know all of what i have to do for the swap but the thing is about the zc is that i know of 2 people swapping a zc and both of the motors ended up being really shitty...so thats why i wanted some opinion..keep it coming..thanks

throw your 4spd out its fun and all but sucks at life.

look into a SI tranny and search on the changing of axles hubs etc for it

 

that is what i was thinkin...but i am pretty sure on the b18...keep the posts comin.

 

i actually just now got a offer on a b18 and i am trying to work this out but well see what happens

 

you're going to need to swap your hubs too.

I have a DOHC ZC, and I love every minute of it. However, given the chance I would have done b18 because it is alot more fun, just I came across a ZC first.

 

i am in touch with a guy that has hubs he is gonna sell me....i am thinkin about it because zc's are cheaper but people have told me there isnt that much you can do to them?
