Default 1989 CRX Vtec Problems

I recently re-routed my heater hose to just go straight back into the block so that I could remove my heater core. I went ahead and took out my dash, blower motor, heater core and evap, since the rest of my interior is out. My problem is that my v-tec wont kick in now. It just revs up to 7500 and then cuts me off. There are no engine codes and the ecu is not flashing. Any ideas? what all could keep v-tec from engaging?

Use the search. I've seen similiar posts before.

Water temperature is one thing what could keep it not engaged. Could it possibly do something with your project what you did?

My coolant temp sensor works fine. That's how I know when to check vtec because I know it doesn't kick in until the car is heated up. I think it must be a loose wire somewhere in the engine bay. I just wanted to make sure that none of the stuff I ripped out has anything to do with my vtec functioning.
