Ok well I found a CRX for sale for $700 it needs a starter selenoid and full exhaust piping. Interior is very nice and body is nice for the age. Currently I have a 97 Jetta so ill drive it around and might buy the crx for a project and to have a euro and a rice burner what things should I check when I go to look at it?I think its the 1.5 I know its slow as nuts to =P

 

Ok i had this exact thing happen to me. I bought mine for $600 With a camgear sheared off the head..... The bottom end was a nightmare also but, If the engine or body are in bad condion, have someone very qualified to look at it and diagnose problems. I ended up just swapping mine but i am $3,500 in debt now. If you are going to make your car any kind of fast, make sure you have the $$ and resources to work and learn. this is how it goes:

just got the car

found out what was wrong

fix it

need to spend more money

get parts.......................................and this goes on forever

 

what model is it?....i mean for 700 it is probably a good deal because you would probably be swapping it anyways...let me know if how all that goes...oh yea post what model it is a hf or a dx...also depending on what you want do with it will determine some of the things you will want to check for.

 

if its not rusty thats good sounds like a fair price as i doubt you want stock exhaust anyway starters don't cost too much either

Well I live in a town where everyone has a Honda so I decided why not. I am a euro person so its completely diffrent from big weed eater exhausts and neon colors. Think I just want and exhaust and paint it black with some projector headlights and some black wheels slammed on the ground. Really I just want a project car and something to drive around town I can talk to other people about

 

If alls it needs is a starter and exhaust push start it. Yeah I will be loud as **** but you can tell how the motor is and brakes and such. CRX's are a blast to drive, imagine a big gokart. lol. I say buy it. Buying my first crx was the best move I have ever made with cars.

P.S. I have now owned 4 CRX's and EF civc hatch.
